What do you think?

Describe the process you took to present your scene.  What went well? Not so well? What would you do differently next time you had to do a scene?

It took alot of work to present my scene. I had to pick my part with my partners. Then edit my script to only important lines because i have a had time remembering many lines. Next I added stress and inflection to my lines to show emotion and make my scene come to life. Lasty my group and me had to practice our scene to get ready for the big day. What went well was using our props and looking at the audience the whole time. I would try to remember my lines because i forgot my last line and messed it up for my group. I would also working on how not to show i mess up and just continue with the scene.

Weaker

Who is weaker? Macbeth or Lady Macbeth?  Why?
I think Lady Macbeth is weaker because she used her husband to do her dirty work. Lady Macbeth wanted to plan for her husband to murder King Duncan so Machbeth could have power and become king an Lady Macbeth could also have power and be queen. I feel if you send someone to to your dirty work you are weak because you could not do it yourself. She is also weaker because she was letting guilt get to her and if you let something get to you then you are not that strong.

Paranoia

Are Macbeth’s paranoia due to his own weakness or a consequence of what he did?

I believe Macbeths parania is due to his consequences and what he has done. His Paranoia is because the ploting and killing of king Duncan. Macbeth had to much blood on his hands and the guilt got to him.He was paranoied someone would find out that he had king Duncan killed.

So what is up with Macduff?

Make and explain your prediction: What will Macbeth do about Banquo?
After reading act 3, scene 1 i think Macbeth is going to try to kill Banquo or send someone to do the job. I believe that is possible because Macbeth doesnt want Banquo nor his son to be next up for king.

Directors

What are the factors that influence how a director presents a scene? Why do you think different directors see things so differently?

I think alot could influence how a director presents a scene. The dialog, stress and inflection could all be a big part of how the director presents a scene. Stress could make the scene show important words and let the audience know when something is important. I think directors see other directors things differently because everyone haves there own ideas and own ways where they think things could be better.

Manliness

Discuss the question, what does it mean to be a “man”?  Do you agree with Lady Macbeth’s view? Or do you think Macbeth’s consideration is more “manly”?

I think to be a man means to have alot of pride in everything you do and always be there for your family and wife, to be the best provider possible. I do not agree with lady Macbeths view of how a man is because the type of man she thinks of only is true in your dreams no one man can be everything you want. I agree with Macbeths being more manly because he acts like a true man tough to others but when it came to Lady Macbeth he was sweet and cared, thats like how a regular man would act.

Questions

How do the right questions help you access text better? What difficulties did you find asking questions?

By asking the right questions it helps me understand the text better. When i ask a question about a part in the text i do not get it helps me think and put parts together to get the bigger picture. Some difficulties i have when asking questions is not knowing if the quetion makes sense,is important, or haves to do with the text.
